Nearly every other household item has some route out. A mattress doesn't. It won't fit in the bin, curbside pickup leaves it, and it's too awkward to get in a car even if you knew where to take it.
So it leans against the side of the house for eight months. Ty takes them one at a time or by the truckload.
You don't need a whole cleanout to book. One mattress is a job Ty will actually come out for, which is not true of every hauler in the area — plenty have a minimum that makes a single item pointless to call about.

A queen mattress that went up a straight staircase ten years ago does not always want to come back down one, especially in an older house with a tight landing.
That's the job. You don't need to move it to the curb first, and you don't need to help carry it.
You don't need to bag it, tape it, or wrap it in plastic before he arrives. If there's a reason it needs handling with care — bed bugs, a medical situation — say so when you book so it's handled properly rather than discovered on site.
Everything gets strapped and covered in the trailer before it leaves your property.

Ty doesn't run a published rate card, and he doesn't charge by the hour while you watch the clock. A price depends on three things: how much room it takes in the trailer, how heavy it is, and whether it's a flat quote for the whole job.
You get that number free — over the phone, or on site if it's easier — before anything gets loaded. It doesn't move afterwards. No surprise fees once the trailer's full, which is the part most people have been burned on before.
